Sidewalk Sherpas is a project created by a couple of locals with a passion for their city and a genuine interest in sharing just how cool it is with other people. There is no cost and no advertising to put up with. Absolutely free. No strings attached. All we ask in exchange is that you give us a good review if you enjoy the tour. Simple as that.

With this app youll explore New York City with a couple of locals. We’ll walk you around some of our favorite neighborhoods and introduce you to cool places and secrets even many locals don’t. Well share the history that youll actually find interesting. Alongside our audio narration, you’ll have a Sidewalk Sherpas map, actual photos of each stop (so you know what to look for!) and even some historical shots that give a peek into New York City life back in the old days. An insider’s tour, in the palm of your hand…from your favorite iDevice.

The app is free to download and each tour is a free in-app purchase that you can add individually. This way you only download the neighborhood you’re interested in, then delete it when your done.

Each tour includes:

- A map with the route youll be walking with each stop clearly labeled
- Both an audio and text tour (you decide how you experience the tour)
- Reference photos of what you should be looking for
- Cool historical photos of the area from back in the day

How It Works:
Walk around and experience your tour through headphones, or read it at your own pace. We’ll provide photos that give you a visual reference of what to look for, and provide an interactive, guided map. Since you’re getting a tour via a phone or iPad, you just look like any other local walking the street…staring at their device. We’ll tell you where to stop, stand, walk, and keep you out of the way so that you’ll look less like a tourist, and more like a neighbor. We’ll give you the inside tips, tricks and stories of how to experience the neighborhood like a NYC veteran.
